David Crosby & Friends - The Perro Sessions 1971 - Part 02 - 2 Cds (Flac)

The Planet Earth Rock and Roll Orchestra is a nickname given to artists who recorded together in the early 1970s. They were predominantly members of Jefferson Airplane, The Grateful Dead, Quicksilver Messenger Service, and Crosby, Stills and Nash. Their first album together was Blows Against the Empire, when they were known as Jefferson Starship. The name changed to Planet Earth Rock and Roll Orchestra for the next album, David Crosby's If I Could Only Remember My Name. During the sessions for Crosby's album at Wally Heider Studios, the musicians of each band were invited to the sessions and rehearsed hours of material, and everything was recorded. Material played during these recorded sessions in 1971 was used for Crosby's album (the "PERRO Chorus" is credited on the song, "What Are Their Names") and several other solo albums after Crosby's (see discography). The name Jefferson Starship was later used for Paul Kantner and Grace Slick's new band formed in 1974. Paul Kantner recorded a solo album in 1983 as a tribute to this time, Planet Earth Rock and Roll Orchestra.

Thanks for reposting. For some reason, I'm a really big fan of David Crosby (bought his first biography and that's almost a guarantee to make you think he is one seriously effed up individual, but he has really serious vocal chops). Hard to believe he can still sing for all he's been through, but this, this is before all that and is a lot of really interesting weirdness. Thanks again.

Crosby didn't sound too bad on the 2000 CSNY2K tour. Or on the studio album that they were supporting, 'Looking Forward'. Somehow he keeps coming on.

Similarly, could I trouble you to repost both links here? I got CD 03 and 04 for Part 01, so I only need both discs of Part 02 and CD 02 of Part 01.

Thanks again. Really looking forward to these.

I was able to get all 4 cds of part one, and the first cd of part 2. I think the folks not able to get cds from part one are just clicking the wrong links. It took me awhile to figure it out after finding that the big "download "buttons onlty took me to advertisements, but the small easy to miss link worked. When I tried to get David Crosby - Perro Sessions - Part 2 - Cd2, however, I get back the message "File name: CrsbPrrSnsPrt2Cd2.rar This file has been deleted due to inactivity."

Please, please put part 2 cd 2 back up?

I'll be jumpin'for Joy if you do. Thanks alot in advance.

Hi. This is a mind-blowing series and I'm grateful to have parts 1,3,4. Is there any chance that these two CDs could be uploaded some place other than Depositfiles? Everything else is on Solidfiles, where you don't need a paid subscription to download. Thanks!
